The Boston Celtics have waived veteran guard Keyon Dooling,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who announced his retirement through agent Kenge Stevenson.
"Keyon has decided that he has given the NBA 12 good years and that it's time to pursue other interests and spend more time with his family,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," said Stevenson via a release on the team's website. "He will never forget his time in Boston with the Celtics."
Dooling averaged 4.0 points,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 1.1 assists and 14.4 minutes in 46 games -- two starts -- with the Celtics during the lockout-shortened 2011-12 season. In the playoffs,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], he chipped in 2.8 ppg and shot a team-high 39.3 percent from 3- point range.
