'I wouldn't drop Yuvraj in the XV'
Kiran More,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], India's former chief selector, has criticised the axing of Yuvraj Singh from the Asia Cup squad. More said it was too close to the 2011 World Cup to drop a person of Yuvraj's calibre. He also questioned the choice to leave out India's more knowledgeable pace options,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the kind of Sreesanth, RP Singh, Munaf Patel and Ishant Sharma.
"You can always send a message to Yuvraj," More told Cricinfo. " 'Sit on the bench. But only one player continues to be stated, and they have dropped him in the Asia Cup."
Yuvraj has averaged 24.7 in the last 11 ODIs, and scored a better of 43 in 14 games within the IPL this year. His fitness recently has come set for criticism and he seemed to be issued a show-cause notice by the BCCI to have an alleged pub brawl in St Lucia following India's exit in the World Twenty20.
"They are earning an error," More said. "If the World Cup is really close by,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I'll not fiddle around using the team. I won't drop Yuvraj Singh from the XV."
More said India required to identify a pool of 20-22 players and not look beyond them for the World Cup. However, he was surprised that none of Sreesanth,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Munaf, Ishant or RP was picked for that World Twenty20, the tri-series in Zimbabwe or even the ongoing A tour of England. He said the choice to ignore a skilled set of seamers hurt the possibility of their return to the national side and remain in contention for that World Cup.
"I'm very surprised that RP, Ishant Sharma, Irfan Pathan and Sreesanth haven't been picked. They were part of the team one . 5 months back,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and today they are not one of the next 60 also," More said. "They didn't go to Zimbabwe, they did not go the A tour of England. Suddenly your main players are missing in the next 60, how are they will make a comeback?
"The guys who have gone to England for that A tour, they are going to prosper. The matches there'll not be very competitive, and they are likely to return and be in the reckoning for any devote the Indian team. Not Ishant, RP, Irfan or Sreesanth.

More also felt Yusuf Pathan had not been given a fair run before being dropped. Yusuf were built with a poor World Twenty20, averaging just 10.50, and it has scored just two half-centuries in the 37-match ODI career. "I'm not very pleased with Yusuf Pathan's devote the batting order," he explained. "He's been batting at No.7 constantly. You are always batting in a difficult situation at this position, and you've got to score quick runs. He got 44 in his last innings; it's not a fair call on him also."
Among the new players within the squad, More designated the offspinner R Ashwin like a promising prospect and said he should have played more matches about the tour of Zimbabwe. "We require a surprise bowler for the World Cup, and our problem is within the bowling department,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," More said. "Ashwin has done well domestically, and it is another bowler. He's got lots of variety along with a good height to bowl offspin. He should have been a certainty within the playing XI in Zimbabwe. I really hope he gets more opportunities."

More has his foot in the mouth. The only place for Yusuf within the Team was at 7. Its either he performs at this spot or perishes. Guys like Bevan, Ajay Jadeja as well as late Micheal Hussesy happen to be performers for the reason that position. Yusuf thinks he can knock out all of the balls from the stadium.
