Her magenta-colored nails clutched a pink-and-teal clapper that rarely was still as she watched the game Monday with wide eyes and a toothy grin from her wheelchair on the 26th row.
Covered in a black fleece blanket adorned with Spurs logos, Sanchez wore the jersey of Manu Ginobili - her favorite player - and a pair of enormous white basketball shoes that Ginobili signed and gave her for her 100th birthday.
After the first quarter, the Spurs Coyote visited her to deliver hugs and kisses, a T-shirt and other goodies.
"It so beautiful," Sanchez said. "I so lucky, and I really happy."

When the Spurs, then called the Dallas Chaparrals moved to town in 1973, Sanchez would watch their basketball games so she be prepared to recap them with one of her four children, a son who she has now outlived.

Arlinda Vasquez, the activities manager at the home, plans monthly outings for residents. Families cover the participants food and a Gemini Ambulance Services vehicle totes the seniors around. A year-and-a-half ago, Sanchez moved out of Perez house and into the North Side home, where she watches games on a big-screen in the dining hall. Two weeks ago, Sanchez family was called to her bedside after doctors feared she might die. Upon recovering, Perez asked if she wanted to attend the game.
