BREWER,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Maine Police Officer Liz Kelley stopped a car late Saturday for a traffic violation and smelled marijuana when she approached the vehicle, Lt. Chris Martin said Monday.
"Everybody was taken to jail," the lieutenant said of the three occupants,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], adding two face felony drug charges and the third had a box filled with bath salts, syringes and other drug paraphernalia.
Takeena Arnold,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 26,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], of Bangor was found with Suboxone, which she has a prescription for, drug paraphernalia and "three loaded syringes that contained morphine," Martin said.
Troy York, 20, of Millinocket was caught with diverted Suboxone and drug paraphernalia.
"We believe Takeena furnished the Suboxone York was found in possession of,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," Martin said.
Arnold was charged with felony unlawful furnishing of a scheduled drug and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs for the morphine. She also had two outstanding warrants.
York was charged with felony unlawful possession of scheduled drugs as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.
Shane Howe, 26, of Millinocket was found with "a small box with bath salts, syringes, drug paraphernalia and tinfoil,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]," Martin said.
He was charged with unlawful possession of synthetic hallucinogenic drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
All three were taken to Penobscot County Jail in Bangor and later released, a jail official said. York faces a penalty of up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $20,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],000 for unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, if convicted of the charges against him, and Arnold faces five years and a fine of $5,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],000 for the felony furnishing if convicted.
