This program also needs to emphasize proper form AND speed of movement together with breathing - they are elements which are lacking from most 'modern' leg workouts and fitness programs.
Here's an example of a highly effective, but simple leg toning and shaping exercise:

You might have one you can use inside your garage or perhaps a closet - just be sure it is sturdy.

Often times, too much focus is positioned on machines, gadgets and high intensity, 'no pain - no gain' concepts. The majority of to marketing reasons and sometimes just a pure lack of understanding of exactly what the female body needs with regards to the correct leg exercises and overall fitness programming.
