Remember that many of us are spending money on the incompetance of yankee security and military organisations. By acknowleging these failings, it's tacitly acknowledged the security already in position was sufficient and should have stopped the attack. Many reports have stated the huge failings of the multiple layers of security on 9-11 whcih could have been enough to prevent the attacks if proper procedures were followed. Yet there's still a chorus from the fearful sheep of the world with increasingly more security be added so that they can delude themselves that flying is 100% safe.
