[UPDATE] ESPN announces "Olbermann" will start in August on ESPN2
BRISTOL, Conn., July 17 () -- ESPN, headquartered in Connecticut, announced former host Keith Olbermann is returning to the company with his own show on ESPN2.The network announced Olbermann, who worked for the network from 1992 to 1997 and was best known as co-host of "Sportscenter," will be the host of his own show, "Olbermann," set to premiere at 11 p.m. Aug. 26 on ESPN2, the Bleacher Report reported Wednesday."Keith is a one-of-a-kind personality and these shows will be appointment viewing for that very reason, christian louboutin outlet," ESPN President John Skipper said. "Keith brings a blend of editorial sophistication and unpredictability -- you can never be sure what you'll get. 'Olbermann' on ESPN2 gives viewers the quality late-night complement to ESPN's 'SportsCenter' in the same way we've developed distinct show options across our networks the rest of the day."Olbermann spent time as a political commentator with shows including "Countdown with Keith Olbermann" on MSNBC and the Current TV network, with which he recently ended a troubled relationship. ESPN said pop culture and current events will play into Olbermann's new show, but politics will be kept out of the mix.
