Alan Rickman plays Hilly Kristal in rock film 'CBGB'

The film will be released theatrically this fall to coincide with the CBGB Music Festival, which is to take place Oct. 9-13, with more than 500 bands performing on 175 stages across New York City, including in Manhattan's Times Square and Brooklyn's Barkley Center."CBGB" co-stars Malin Akerman, Ashley Greene, Johnny Galecki, Rupert Grint, Justin Bartha, Joel David Moore, Freddy Rodriguez, Donal Logue, Stana Katic and Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters. The movie features 16 on-camera musical performances, as well as more than 60 classic songs by the Talking Heads, The Ramones, Blondie, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, The Police and The Dead Boys, among other acts who played at the club, which closed in 2006 and is now an upscale clothing boutique.
