ATP rankings have Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal on top
LONDON, Sept. 16 () -- Tomas Berdych helped boost the Czech Republic into the Davis Cup finals but lost a place in the ATP world rankings to Roger Federer.Berdych won a singles match Friday and teamed with Radek Stepanek for a doubles win Saturday as the Czechs earned a third spot in the cup finals in the last five years.The Czechs beat Spain in winning the 2012 Davis Cup. They'll go against Serbia, which got singles wins Sunday from Novak Djokovic and Janko Tipsarevic in earning its second Davis Cup final by getting by Canada 3-2. Serbia won the cup in 2010.The Davis Cup final is set for Nov. 15-17 in Serbia,With the cup semifinals going on, there were no ATP tournaments last week but Federer still moved ahead of Berdych in the rankings. Federer is now fifth while Berdych goes to sixth.That was the only change in the ATP Top 10 this week.Djokovic has been ranked No. 1 in the world for the last 46 weeks and 99 weeks overall. The 46-week string is tied with Bjorn Borg and Rafael Nadal for 15th longest. Nadal also has a 56-consecutive-week string atop the rankings.
