The Musical," a parody of "The Silence of the Lambs," will end its two-year run on the New York stage next month, its producers announced.The off-Broadway show will close July 7 at the Elektra Theatre after 529 regular performances and eight previews. The musical's producer, Theater Mogul, said it is negotiating licensing deals for future productions to open during the 2013-14 season in major markets across the United States and around the world.The show is based on Thomas Harris' 1988 novel "The Silence of the Lambs," a harrowing psychological drama about young FBI agent Clarice Sterling, who enlists the help of jailed, murderous, cannibal psychiatrist Hannibal Lecter in catching another serial killer.
