Photographic archives reveal few recent pictures of the original James Bond in full Highland kilted regalia. And in recent years, when he has previously hosted the event,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], he has preferred a more straightforward dark plaid tuxedolook.
Sir Sean will serve as honorary chairman of the 'Dressed to Kilt' gala, together with his wife, Lady Connery, and their granddaughter, Saskia,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who will be making her catwalk debut in the fashion show, which will blend Highland with 'haute'.
Major designer labels to be featured include Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, House of Holland,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Katherine Hooker, and Locharron of Scotland, together with awardwinning, USbased country and western designers such as Montana, Dreamwear, Pat Dahnke, IOTA, Prophetik, a favourite with Oscarwinning Colin Firth's wife,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Livia,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and Manuel Cuevas.
'Dressed to Kilt' is regarded as the largest Scottish fashion charity event in the world outside of Scotland.
The theme of the 2011 gala, to be held on Tuesday, April 5th, at the Hammerstein Ballroom, will be Country Chic,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], drawing inspiration from country music and it's Scottish origins.
