Basketball Training Tools for Becoming A Clutch Shooter,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
For every basketball player there is that one skill that seems to get the most attention. Every player spends most of the time working on and practicing putting the ball thru the hoop. If you think about it a clutch shooter doesn become one overnight. It takes discipline and hard work,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but you can do it.
Recently,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], you may have seen a basketball game were there was a fierce battle of two teams fighting for the win. The game is in the last few seconds. The coach calls a timeout. He wants to get the last shot. He draws out a play for someone he trusts that has a higher percentage of draining the shot. So he makes a play to get his clutch shooter a good look at the basket. The team goes back out on the floor. The fans are cheering so loud you can barely hear. The team runs there play,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], they find there shooter open,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and he drains the shot with ease. You think to your self I wish I could do that.
Here I want you to focus on the basket. There are different ideas as to where do you focus. Some will say aim for the front of the rim. Others will say aim for the backside of the rim. I think that both of these ways are correct. It really depends on the shooter. For an Example,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], if you are constantly hitting the front of the rim when you shoot then try aiming for that back side of the rim. This will help you get the ball over the front lip of the rim. If you find your shot hitting the back and bouncing off allover the place,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], then try aiming for the front of the rim.
OK in this step,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], when you are at the peak of your shot I want you to flick your wrist. Your fingertips should be pointing down to the ground. This will help put a good rotation on the ball. The reason that we want good rotation is that if the ball hits the rim it will still go in the hoop.
Last Step Practice still helps make perfect
To become a clutch shooter it takes a great amount of practice,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], to were you are confident that you can hit a shot consecutively,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and were there is very little fear that you will miss.
