Thank you so much for posting this! I would like to second #7. Having worked for very small business and non profits I would also like to mention that the legally required minimum bar for quality of management is a bit higher for non profits. Non profits are corporations, governed by a board of directors and must report to the IRS. The legal requirements for even the smallest non profits' accounting and legal structure is more stringent than what is required for a small business.
But your forgot the myth that I hear the most--that non profit staff don't have to pay income taxes! (I get this a lot for some reason). We do have to pay the same taxes as everyone else!!!!
