At peak capacity, the wind farm could generate 3.6 megawatts of energy,Jimmy Choo Sale, enough to meet the demands of 530,000 households."Offshore and onshore wind technologies are a perfect match for the future energy mix in Europe," RWE Innogy Chief Executive Officer Hans Bunting said in a statement. The Scottish partner said the facility is more than 12 miles offshore, which makes it the furthest offshore of any wind farm in the country. The British government announced Thursday it was investing $100 million to stimulate the domestic wind-energy sector. Britain has more installed wind capacity offshore than the rest of the world combinedConstruction of the Greater Gabbard wind farm started in 2008.
