While you all may know I posted your blog how you you raise your Black boy. I noticed it's harder for AAB to obtain their own fashion sense. refused to let my child sag his pants. But, like a baby I noticed that it might be the parents that are to blame. My cousin will not let her DS wear anything BUT brand name clothes. He's 2. She might be struggling with bills or other things but her son is always within the latest Coogi. Personally i think like it's nothing wrong with dressing your child in brand name clothes. If you can afford after that it hey. But,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], are we giving our child the wrong example by being too materialistic??Do these clothes make sure they are mature too fast??? I, personally will dress my child in a array of clothing whether if its brand or what ever is presentable. I just want to see other moms views on this.
I do not do the standard "black" big brands like roc a wear and all the urban stuff however i do make sure my son has got the best I can afford not because I think its cool or acceptable nevertheless its things i do for myself and I'm not going to do any less for him. He is only six mos so he wears all old navy stuff that is good quality and well worth the price. I actually do buy him lots of Jordan stuff, he has all the onesies and beanies and had booties,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], now the air forces and the like but that is cause his daddy also offers a closet full and I like to keep him like Daddy. He also offers a lot of Disney stuff as well. Because he gets older it could change but I aspire to only dress him in what he feels comfortable in, not what I think will make him acceptable in the culture. Basically buy myself some Nikes or something like that I will get him some too. I like name brand shoes on my small kids. Some name brand clothing is okay,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but I feel like we as AA are always trying to overcompensate for something. I favor to let my LO's be kids; what I mean by that is I'd rather them play and get dirty and spill things on clothes that I didn't break your budget buying. It also doesn't make sense to me when individuals spend a lot of money on designer clothes that a baby is just likely to grow out of really fast. Until he is old enough to dress himself and develop their own fashion sense he'll dress the way in which I love boys/young men to be dressed. For me that's both preppy w/ a twist of skater. That's just me. And besides clothes don't result in the man, the man makes the clothes.

My other cousin just tripped me out. Calling me the yesterday asking me for the money. Her car got repossed and she includes a newborn born in december. I just do not get why spend all your money on other activities to secure your image and to be seem like everything is great. Okay ladies I simply had my baby shower celebration and something of my guest mention. funny thing was wanted to buy my son the same fit. felt kinda offended because I'd except anything people buy. And my baby phat collection has dwindled since high school. Yes, it had been all I wore. But, now i am open to other clothing not only name brand.
I love the preppy look. I love childrens place!! I want to buy some pieces from polo. He has somethings from old navy,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], target,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and also have brand name items. I can not wait till hes old enough for shoes!!
I do not care what name the clothes are, as long as they're in good condition as well as good quality. I was a reputation brand freak with my oldest dd. I got fed up with investing in a shirt she would stain the very first time she wore it. I could not get mad b/c she was little.
If I can catch a good sale on brand name clothing,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], then yes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I'll purchase it. I am not going to spend $15 on the t-shirt simply because from the name, sorry. I will buy brand named running sneakers though.
I usually asserted I'd dress my son in strictly name brand clothing but I find nice pieces in various stores. I am not likely to ignore a nice,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], cheap clothing b/c it doesn't say rocawear. My sister bought my nine year daughter an outift by Phat and my little cousin was trying to tell my daughter how lucky she ended up being to have Baby Phat. My daughter checked out her and said what is a Baby Phat? She had not a clue because I do not buy her those type of clothes. Personally,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], i buy whatever I like with this little man. I do not such as the urban look though but hubby doesn't wear it either so I have no idea if maybe that factors involved with it. He and my girls all have a mix of clothes which i buy which are Polo when I do by name brand however i also love Children's place, Gap along with other stores like this. I guess I should add I really like TJMaxx for little kids clothes too. They've the cutest things at good prices. I'll say the one thing I will not be cheap on are their shoes. I simply don''t think that cheap footwear is as good for his or her feet as other shoes are.
