S/S 12 Fred Perry Laurel Wreath by Richard Nicoll delivers a collection that perfectly marries Fred Perryʼs street and sportswear heritage with Nicollʼs catwalk sensibility manifested in the fabric,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], colour,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], texture and print throughout the range.
The inspiration for the season comes from a 70ʼs ath-sportswear silhouette and colour palette,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. The athletic uniform is then blended with a primary coloured floral print to help feminise and soften,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
Key pieces include the butter cream Parka with ruched funnel neck collar,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], an essential Fred Perry product with Nicoll detailing and the insignia blue leather dress and top in toast with lazer cut laurels. The more delicate short and long sleeve broderie anglaise blouses in bright white and insignia blue create a lighter and fresher look that sits well alongside the heritage sportswear feel of the collection.
Colour blocking and striping take precedence. Racer back vests, raglan sleeve t-shirts in silk and modal, sheer knitted twinsets in bright coral and long sleeve jersey t-shirts provide the tops of the collection to team with the Fred Perry slim butter cream trousers.
