China closes 225 porn websites in broad Internet crackdown
BEIJING,[url=http://www.pachasvip.com]hollister outlet[/url], Feb. 27 () -- China has shut down 225 pornography websites and closed more than 30,[url=http://www.pachasvip.com]hollister clearance[/url],000 blogs or microblogs in a campaign that began last month, officials said Wednesday.The State Internet Information Office said unregistered photo sharing, video sharing and gaming sites were among the accounts closed, the official state-run Xinhua news agency reported.Enterprises that illegally allow Internet access to providers of obscene content as well as people who run pornographic websites are being investigated, the agency said in a statement.The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the Ministry of Public Security are taking part in the investigation, the statement said.The MIIT plans a separate crackdown on unregistered websites and those illegally accessing the Internet or using forged licenses.Another campaign is planned to block gaming and video-sharing websites from offering obscene content.
